If you think I've been quiet on all my social media sites, you're correct!
I'm currently juggling a lot of plates, including two very different writing projects.
Project One is non-fiction in colloboration with my husband - it's "translating" a tax law book from legalese into English. You're right! It's a challenge getting through it one page at a time!
Project Two is a second volume of poetry, to be called "a Lamp at Midday: Volume 2". Very excited about this book, as I'm having a fabulous time writing and writing and writing poetry! Proves that my voluntary break from any kind of writing last year was the best thing I could have done.
Publication date for both books will be towards the end of 2015.
Exciting times again!
Oh my goodness, exciting! I loved Book 1, so Book 2 has me all giddy!
MICHELLE: Me too! So excited about the poetry volume 2, it's coming along at a cracking rate - & I have a gorgeous cover image lined up - it ties in with the volume 1 theme & (hint! hint!) I'm using the same designer the brilliant Melissa Williams from MW Cover Designs http://www.mdabooks.com/mw-cover-design/
Law always seemed boring to me. I fall asleep every time I have to read a contract or a patent application.
Cold As Heaven
COLD: My hubby *loves* law - says it's alive, constantly changing. I struggle to manage 5 pages a day, which is why this book is going so slowly - I have to re read and re read the pages to grasp the concepts. Give me fiction any day!
I look forward to your announcement. In the meantime, my sympathies for what you're going through with the tax book.
Awww, warms my heart!
JUDITH: your sympathies well-received I'm cross-eyed from all that legalese!! :)
I can't wait for the new book of poetry. (Sorry, I find law a trifle over my head.) Glad to hear you've been busy and not hiding.
ANNE: Too busy! (and not always with writing!!) :) Hope you're well and your writing going well!
Hi Judy - that does sound a bit much ... I'd do the typing - someone else would have to do the translating!! But delighted to read you're getting some of me time for your poetry .. your words are really evoke places and ideas in the mind.
HILARY: I've been humbled by the tax book - have learned it takes a special mind to easily understand complex laws! Have so enjoyed writing my poetry volume though, and looking forward to seeing it on the shelf soon! Hope you're enjoying your blogging break.
