When Mom was My Age

My Mom having fun with her Christmas stocking in 2010

Jozi, as we call it, is a vibrant, charismatic city and, like all big personalities, can dazzle and charm you with its complexities. Much like this energetic metropolis, my beloved Mom, Naomi Dawn Heinemann, is another big my interview with my Mom!

Join me to find out more about my Mom in Jane Friedman's delightful series of interviews of Moms by their daughters

HILARY: You have no idea how much fun my Mom can add to the simplest occasion! :) Thanks for your comment on Jane's blog.

MISHA: Thanks for popping over and for commenting!

STEPHANIE: Thanks for your comment - it was a surprisingly difficult interview as I needed to get a mix of personal and general interest stuff. Glad you enjoyed!

Lovely picture.
My childhood friend and I were just discussing this morning how we couldn't imagine our mums working out and even wearing workout clothes when they were our age. My mom was a dress and pearls woman.

Your mum looks wonderful, Judy! I still miss mine so much.

ANN: The photo gives a good idea of how much fun my Mom has - she has a knack of lighting up any function (and she LOVES Christmas so is always hyper when it comes to opening presents!) My Mom is more red hat and purple shows then dress and pearls!

FRANCES: I don't even want to think of the time when either of my folks are not here -I've instructed them that they have to live to 120, because then I'll be too old to miss them!
