Some souls enrich our lives with their very presence. Josephina, (right) my furry companion for so many years, was one such being. After a long illness, yesterday she was set free to roam the heavens as she roamed my heart. She filled our lives with her little body and her big spirit and this blog post is a celebration of her time with us: a memorial of photos which speak more clearly than I can of the delightful character she was.

Sweet kitty... May her soul find many catnip mice and snuggly places to explore.
Hugs to you...

Sniff. I'm sorry for your loss, Ann. Josephina was a lovely kitty. You must miss her already...
I'm so sorry, Ann. She was a beautiful friend to you all these years. Hugs:)
So sorry! She gave you a lot of happiness. That is good!
Awwwe, I'm so sorry. What a beauty she was. I have two kitties--one great big tabby and one teeny tiny Siamese. I would be lost without them. Sorry for your loss.
Thanks for the hugs...
Chiron: as you can imagine with Cancer on the cusp of my 6th house my cats have always been like my "babies"!
Marilyn - the house seems very empty :( Theodora (my husband's cat) is not a "hugger" where Josephine would spend hours blissfully purring in my lap!
Septembermom - she was probably my best friend, unconditional love personified!
Lady Glamis - you wouldn't believe how much happiness she gave the whole family!
BJ - Ooh! I love tabbies, my favourite of all cats. Siamese are beautiful but so vocal!
Oh, *hugs*, our babies so enrich our lives don't they? We're blessed to have them for the short time we do.
Oh my dear, I've only just had time to come and catch up with your blog and I was so saddened to read about Josephina - you know that I truly understand your loss and the cat shaped hole in your life where she should be. I know how hard it must have been to make that decision but how loving and strong you were to make it.
Sir Sidney is mourning one of 'his ladies' and Flora sends you her best purrs of sympathy - for you and for Theodora who must miss her beautiful friend
Sending hugs
Kate
Nancy - this little one enriched all our lives beyond measure. Thanks for the hugs!!
Kate - you put it so well, there is a very large cat-shaped hole in our lives, amazingly large for such a little cat. Please send purrs and hugs to Sir Sid and Princess Flora!! (((HUGS)))
:-/ The good times stay with you, though, in fond memories, funny photographs, and lazy, crazy moments which have her spirit in them.

Too true Ruth! And Josephina's spirit was bigger than most... :(
I love the photographic tribute. We are big cat lovers in this house (Ozzie is our owner's name), and I can't imagine life without him.
Thanks Anita! Give Ozzie a pat from me!
